Product Overview

Advanced Whole-Home Filtration Built Into Your HVAC System

The Carrier Infinity Air Purifier is installed in line with compatible central heating and cooling equipment. As the HVAC blower circulates air, the purifier filters particles that pass through the return-air system instead of treating only the air within one room.

Its MERV 15 filter captures up to 95% of particles measuring 1.0 to 3.0 microns and up to 85% of particles measuring 0.3 to 1.0 microns, based on Carrier’s cited third-party testing. Common examples can include dust, pollen, and pet dander that enter and circulate through the HVAC system.

Carrier’s Captures & Kills® technology subjects trapped particles to an intense electrical field. Carrier reports up to 99% inactivation of select airborne germs captured by the filter under specified laboratory testing conditions. Airborne particles must first enter the HVAC return system and become trapped in the purifier for this process to apply.

The purifier is available in multiple cabinet sizes for compatibility with different residential HVAC systems. Proper cabinet sizing, airflow verification, electrical installation, filter access, and equipment placement are required for reliable operation.

This System May Be Right for You If:

  • You want whole-home filtration instead of multiple portable purifiers.

  • You want to reduce circulating dust, pollen, and pet dander.

  • Your home has compatible central forced-air HVAC equipment.

  • You want filtration rated at MERV 15.

  • You want the purifier installed directly into the HVAC return-air system.

  • You can maintain the system and replace approved filters when required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about the Carrier Infinity Air Purifier, including filtration, HVAC compatibility, captured particles, maintenance, installation, and warranty coverage.

How does the Carrier Infinity Air Purifier work?

The purifier is installed in line with a compatible central HVAC system. Air passes through its MERV 15 filter as the HVAC blower operates, trapping particles and subjecting them to Carrier’s Captures & Kills® electrical-field technology.

Carrier reports that the purifier captures up to 95% of particles measuring 1.0 to 3.0 microns and up to 85% of particles measuring 0.3 to 1.0 microns under its cited testing conditions. Examples can include airborne dust, pollen, and pet dander that pass through the HVAC system.

No. The system can treat only airborne particles that enter the HVAC return-air system, pass through the purifier, and become trapped in its filter. Settled particles and air that does not circulate through the HVAC system are not directly treated.

Possibly. Compatibility depends on duct dimensions, available installation space, blower capacity, airflow resistance, electrical access, and equipment configuration. Pelican Heating & Air must inspect the system before installation.

The unit operates in line with the central HVAC system and does not use a separate room fan. The overall sound level will mainly depend on the existing furnace or air-handler blower and ductwork.

Replacement frequency depends on system runtime, household conditions, pets, dust levels, construction activity, and the approved filter used. The filter should be inspected and replaced according to Carrier’s instructions and the servicing technician’s recommendation.

Carrier currently lists Consumer Choice Warranty options for eligible equipment following timely registration. The available option may be either a 10-year parts-only limited warranty or five-year parts coverage with three-year labor coverage, subject to eligibility, registration, jurisdiction, and dealer participation.
